It was a good ride...lots of climbing and downhilling. So unfortunate for the fall at almost the end of the trail for that day. I am feeling the pain from the impact the next morning. Would you believe I was distracted by the oil palm fruit protruding from the side of the trail? It caught me by surprise and I squeezed the brakes right after going thru the longkang and went superman. Must learn to anticipate the unexpected.
Take it easy, this is normal on mtb, it happened to Derek previously and me on the same day too. I was behind you when the magical moment occured. From what I saw I suspect: 1. you pressed the front a bit too much, 2. slippery road due to loose sands, 3. small hole/drop infront of your tire. 4. you were hungry and want to eat the palm fruit. I think can avoid this just try to shift body weight backward slightly, or jump over the fruit??
